![]() ![]() We just waited over 3 hours to eat and now it's a "get your food and get out" vibe. We've never done that before anyway, so no big deal, but to hear that right off the bat felt very unwelcoming. Our waitress told us we had to order all the food at one time, she was clear there would be no chances to put additional orders in. The wait staff used to be super friendly and kind. Once inside, we were greeted by a waitress that told us the "rules" of ordering. It just seemed pointless and frankly rude to move us around like that. As soon as we sat there, we were called up to our table. At that point we were told "it would be better if we didn't wait there" and were scooted over to the benches between the two buildings. They weren't quite ready, so we just stood there on the patio. At around the 3 hour mark of waiting, my husband went to check on our time and they told him 5 minutes. The snacks they offered were minimal at best. We went back to the bar to finish waiting and noticed that the bathroom was dirty and the flowers in the vases were all dead. Ended up going across the way to get some snacks at the Tapas place to tide everyone over until dinner. We headed over to the bar, but no appetizers would be served until 4pm. ![]() I knew it would be long - Netflix hype and all). The staff made it feel as if we were an inconvenience rather than paying customers. I've been going to Bianco in downtown Phoenix for over 20 years, and I was sorely disappointed for the first time last weekend. The best tip I can offer is get there early for lunch and enjoy. It is not very large and they do not rush anything so if we would have to wait and hour or so as others have it might not have been worth it. I would say this is a great lunch spot and we enjoyed it tremendously. The service was by committee and everyone was super friendly. ![]() The wood fired crust was exceptional, the underside was just just soft enough. We also shared SONNY BOY- Tomato Sauce, Fresh Mozzarella, Salami, Gaeta Olives. ITALIAN FONTINA WRAPPED IN PROSCUITTO DI PARMA and it was an absolute wonderful way to start the meal. There did appear to be a wait starting just after we were sat but we did not have to wait. Fortunately we were sat almost immediately. a short wait, but directed us on where the restaurant was and where we could get a cold drink while we waited. The valet parking attendant was friendly and warned us there might be. We went directly from the airport and arrived just after they opened. When my Wife and I planned our trip to Phoenix this was on the top of our list of must eats.
