![]() ![]() Overlapping with another room cripples the value due to the divisor.Things that majorly tank the quality of a room: The Baron's room has to be more valuable than the count's, and the count's room has to be more valuable than all of the other dwarves. Now say in that same fortress, one of your dwarves is made the Baron of another site. If any regular dwarf has a more valuable room than the count, the count will be unhappy. So let's say that your fortress is a county, so your count is your highest ranked noble. Stacking 10 in a square makes for a high value piece of furniture.Įdit: One last thing, your nobles will want more valuable rooms than anyone below them in rank. Trap components (giant axe blade, menacing spike, large serrated disk, spiked ball, enormous corkscrew) are VERY valuable. Third, did you remember to resize the room designation after physically expanding it? Your noble may have only a corner of the larger room assigned.įinally, if the problem is value, then one answer is using weapon traps as furniture. Maybe the steam version doesn't tell you that you're missing the 2 armor stands and 2 weapon racks your count needs? Second, in addition to value, nobles can have furniture requirements. So I play the free version, not steam (less than 2 weeks till I have steam), so my advice might not be as helpful, but I can list all the things I know which would cause nobles to fail room checks:įirst, do you have the correct dwarf assigned to the rooms? I know that when tired I've assigned rooms to identically or closely named dwarves instead of the noble.
